CHARLES CALIXTO IS a graphic designer and visual artist with a focus on creative strategies in print, typography, illustration and interactive design. He is an alumnus of the Maryland Institute College of Art, graduating summa cum laude with a BFA in graphic design in 2008.

CHARLES IS based in San Francisco, CA, employed as a designer at award-winning AKQA, and takes advantage of the city’s wealth of culture whenever he can. He is captivated by the challenge of creating visually striking solutions with strong conceptual foundations, and is recognized by many of the industry’s top publications and organizations, including Communication Arts, HOW, Print, AIGA 365, COUPE, and the American Advertising Federation, among others.

CHARLES IS never found without his sketchbook, a good playlist, and an eye for inspiration. He doesn’t alway refer to himself in the third person and would not be offended if you say hello.
