25.02.2008 - Bookcase Stairway
Gizmodo and the people from Levitate Architects brought this bit of urban architecture to my attention. Sure, the stairway/shelving solution has been done before, but comparing the danger-fraught model that Voet-Theuns Architecture created to the previously mentioned bookcase makes it painfully obvious that the best design comes when form follows function.
I would love to have this built into my house... but I worry that having that much storage space would only encourage me to buy more books.
